Magaluf and the adjacent resort of Palma Nova are set on the western coast of the bay of Palma on the island of Majorca. The twin resorts are separated by a 5 minute taxi fare or a a half hour minute walk for the more energetic. Most holiday resorts in Majorca are biased towards either British or German holidaymakers. Both resorts of Magaluf and Palma Nova are very much British dominated resorts.

That said, Magaluf and Palma Nova will not attract all British visitors. Some tourists find Palma Nova and Magaluf in Majorca very tacky. Maybe not exactly a hotter version of Blackpool or Margate, but you may notice a few similarities. Usually folks either love these resorts or detest them with a vengance. Both Palma Nova and Magaluf offer numerous British owned and operated pubs, sports bars and eateries catering for the demands of the biggest visitors in these resorts, the British visitors. These are certainly plenty of places selling a Full English Breakfast at very low prices and you will not have difficulty to find a place to watch either english Premier League football or cricket, together with a pint of your favorite tipple or a decent cup of tea. Britons feeling unwell can even visit a British Medical practice or a British dentists which is located on the main street in Palma Nova. I paid 10.50 Euro for just two sun beds and a sunshade in Palma Nova in summer 2009.

Bus transport from Palma de Mallorca airport typically takes around 30 minutes to either Magaluf or Palma Nova. Usually hiring a car from Magaluf or from Palma de Mallorca (PMI) airport is cost effective by comparison against other Mediterranean hotspots however rates in summer 2009 reached to astronomical levels due to there being a general shortage of rental vehicles which caused a supply mismatch. If you intend to hire a car from the airport consider buying some maps of Majorca before leaving.
