Fear Of Public Speaking, the Best Way to Get Rid of It May 29, 2009

Posted by Pat in : nothing in particular , comments closed

Do you have nightmares about public speaking? When you have to stand up in front of a group does your mouth go dry? Hands shake? Stomach turn flip-flops? Feel lightheaded? Think you may pass out?

Welcome to the club. If it’s any comfort, you are not alone!

According to a well-known survey, 65% of us would rather die than speak in public. Many have tried for years to overcome their fear and given it up as hopeless. But wait! There is hope.

We can now turn to one tested method to end the fear of public speaking that has been shown to yield amazing results. It is The Lefkoe Method (TLM).

Probably the least known, but possibly the fastest way of getting rid of the fear of speaking in public, is The Lefkoe Method (TLM). TLM is based on the knowledge that our behavior is governed by what we believe to be true. Therefore, it focuses on finding the 10 or so negative beliefs that make us fear public speaking. These can be such beliefs as, Mistakes and failure are bad; If I make a mistake, I’ll be rejected; or People aren’t interested in what I have to say; etc.

Perhaps the most interesting feature of this approach is how consistently it works. In a study published by the Journal of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, university researchers found that on a scale of 1-10, participants who used TLM lowered their fear of public speaking from an average of 7 down to 1.5 (1 was a lack of any fear at all). It took an average 3.5 hours for participants to reach this level. In follow-up six months later, the fear had not returned. Based on this evidence, the researchers concluded that, The Lefkoe Method is an effective, quick, and convenient procedure to eliminate the fear of speaking in public.

TLM was created over 20 years ago by Morty Lefkoe, founder of The Lefkoe Institute. He and several other certified facilitators have helped over 12,000 clients rid themselves of their fear of public speaking, along with many other emotional and behavioral problems. Their Speaking Without Fear Program is offered with a money-back guarantee: if your fear is not gone in four or less one-hour telephone sessions, you’ll get a full refund. For more information visit: Fear of Public Speaking.

The Lefkoe Institute (TLI) has a money back guarantee and a 97% success rate.

Keep in mind that most people who have benefited from TLM agree that the skill of the practitioner is of the utmost importance in determining the effectiveness of the program. If you really desire to overcome your fear of public speaking, be sure you are working with someone who is highly skilled, gives you confidence in his/her ability, and makes you want to succeed. And about that money-back guarantee? Couldn’t hurt.

What is Web Hosting? May 29, 2009

Posted by Pat in : nothing in particular , comments closed

( sometimes called internet site hosting, Web hosting, and Webhosting ), is the business of housing, serving, and maintaining files for a number of internet sites. More important than the computer space that is provided for Web site files is the fast connection to the Net. Most hosting services offer connections on T-carrier system lines. Usually , an individual business hosting its own site will require a similar connection and it would be dear. Employing a website hosting service lets many firms share the cost of a fast Web connection for serving files.

A number of Net access suppliers, for example America Online, offer customers free space for a little site that is hosted by one of their PCs. Geocities is a Web site site that offers registered visitors similar free space for an internet site. Whilst these services are free, they are extremely basic.

A number of website hosting companies describe their services as virtual hosting. Virtual hosting usually implies that their services will be transparent and that each Web site will have its own domain name and set of e-mail addresses. In most usages, hosting and virtual hosting are synonyms. Some hosting firms let you have your own virtual server, the appearance that you are controlling a server that is dedicated entirely to your site.

Dedicated hosting is the supply of a dedicated server machine that is devoted to the traffic to your Web site. Only very busy sites need dedicated hosting. Many firms purchase their own servers and place them on a site that provides fast access to the Net. This practice is called colocation.

My Top 3 Affiliate Marketing Tips May 29, 2009

Posted by Pat in : nothing in particular , comments closed

What I am about to reveal will probably not make some fellow gurus happy, but this needs to be said:

- No matter what they say about affiliate marketing, it’s virtually impossible for everyone to get those 5,000 - 10,000 dollars a month they are raving on about. The reason? There is simply too much competition! However my fellow gurus are correct on one point: No money will fall into your hands if you are not doing anything to get it there…

I decided to help you get started in the right state of mind, by giving you these high level tips below, that will help you make some money with the different kinds of affiliate marketing programs you can find on the internet.

1. Google Adwords

Some say the days of free traffic are over, but there are still some traffic coming that way, however those hits are surely fading away quickly. You can choose to work hard creating web pages that rank well in the search engines, but still - it’s very hard to do. If you still feel like trying, there are lots of Search Engine Optimization Guides available for you to download, both paid and free.

Simply by paying for clicks with Google (it’s called the Adwords program), you can get the top three positions on the search engines that matter the most - in a matter of minutes. It may come as no surprise to you that there are lots of guides available on how to optimize your google adwords campaigns as well! Did you know that the “engine” that drives some of the traffic is called Adsense? The adsense program allows website owners to put ads on their sites, and when the ads are clicked - the site owner just made some cents online. Most Google Adwords Guides recommend turning off that part of the campaign, due to the click fraud involved, which will give you bad quality, non converting traffic.

2. Your own email list

Building an email list of subscribers is hard, but doable. The task of sending offers to your very own email list is the ideal way to build a residual income online. Instead of sending traffic away and hoping for the best, the best alternative for you (in my opinion) is having your own email list to which you will be able to send multiple offers on periodic intervals. There are lots of autoresponder services that you can subscribe to, and if you feel like having total control, there are several Autoresponder Scripts available for purchase as well.

3. Having Your own affiliate program

Did you know that the gurus are aware of the fact that every visitor that fills out form on your site can generate 50 cent in revenue? What about if you pay someone 25 cents (50% commission) to generate that same amount of traffic, that you would otherwise pay Google to get?

This is the secret most newbies don’t know (and that the gurus don’t want you to know about): Let others generate the traffic you need to make some sales! There are a lot of advantages using this approach, including the fact that now others pay Google to get the traffic for you.

Final Words:

Yes, when it all comes down to it, everything involves paying for traffic in one way or the other. Just remember - in order to make the online income you dream about, you’ll need to invest very wisely in the different kinds of advertising available to you.

To Your Success,

One crazy morning May 29, 2009

One crazy afternoon I decided to help in the fight for global warming. I decided to become a LEED certified architect.

I dashed out of bed and found a place to register for the tests and pick up my study materials. After feeding the dogs and eating a quick breakfast, I jumped into the car and to my suprise found out the car was broken. I only had a few hours before the registration office closed and I need to fix the car quickly.

I searched for phoenix auto repair shops in the phone book but soon realized it was much quicker and easier to just jumb online and Google it. I found a place that looked reliable and well priced so I called them and they arranged the towing and offered a shuttle to come pick my up.It worked out great because I figured I could pick up my registration and study materials and go to a coffee shop with my laptop and begin my figh against the globall warming crisis.

However, when the shuttle dropped me off I realized I left my laptop bag at home. Well, maybe it was better because this way I coud just study and not have to worry about searching the internet and getting distracted. the car took most of the day to get fixed because I had them install a converter that made my engine get 50 mile per gallon.

So what an afternoon! Not only did I start the process to get LEED certified, I also made my car “greener”. To reward myself I went home and turned the AC on full blast!
