Real Estate Marketing: Getting the Most Bang for Your Buck May 3, 2009
Posted by Pat in : nothing in particular , comments closedYou can market in any possible way that you can think of when you are looking at doing real estate marketing. This article will look at what you need to do to make your marketing dollars go as far as possible.
One of the first ways is to get a website. The number of people online has continued to increase. This is one of the major ways that people are finding information these days and it has changed the way that people buy. If you do not have a website, you are at a competitive disadvantage with other realtors. A website does not have to cost you much. You can set up a website and then simply manage it yourself. This can help provide more exposure about you as a realtor and it can be a location where people can find more information about properties you listed. This can free up some of your time for more prospecting. This is a no-brainer when talking about real estate marketing.
You can list a home on Craig’s List. This does not cost any money and it can often provide more traffic and interest than a newspaper ad can. Many real estate agents place an ad in the newspaper simply because sellers expect that they will do that. The amount of traffic that this site generates is amazing. It is one of the top sites on the Internet.
To think offline about real estate marketing, networking is a major key. You must get your name out in the community. Find those mortgage brokers and title agents who you work well with. Start referring business to them and you should see referrals coming back to you. This can happen easily if you start to meet people by going to your local chamber events or local real estate meetings. These may happen on a weekly or monthly basis but it is a very worthwhile investment of your time.
Volunteer your time to talk with local groups. This can establish you as an expert and more exposure to your name. Be sure to pass out cards and ask for business. Chances are that someone in the audience knows someone selling a home. People want to do business with people they like so a friend could easily pass on a business card.
Brand yourself so that everyone knows you exist within the real estate marketing world. Develop what you stand for as a real estate agent. If you are the most efficient realtor around, trumpet that. This message needs to flow through all of your marketing materials so that people remember that one particular message about you. This message can stick if you do it in the right way. You can do this by wearing a shirt with your logo or putting a decal on the side of your car. You are not working for this attention as it happens.
Real estate marketing does not have to cost a great deal of money. In this instance, you have spent little money but have been able to gain great exposure by using some of the following actions in this article.
The Aquamog CCX Has What It Takes to be an Aquamog May 3, 2009
Posted by Pat in : nothing in particular , comments closedThe Aquamog was created in the early 1980’s by Aquatics Unlimited (AU). The McNabb family founded AU in 1975.
Both Tom and Dave McNabb help design the aqua mog brand and line of equipment throughout the 1980s and 1990s while with AU. Tom continued the Aquamog product line into the new century by adding the MarshMog. Tom’s new company Clean Lakes, Inc. located in Martinez, California and Dave’s company DK Environmental in
Lafayette, California have been working together on the aqua-mog project for about 10 years and in February 2009 the Aquamog CCX238 was introduced into the Aquamog group.
The machine know by a few as the swamp cutter; swamp rig; cookie cutter; tule cutter; various other nicknames was in “no name land” so to speak. It did not fit the mold of conventional aquamogs as being a multi-purpose aquatic maintenance vessel. But is has now worked its way into the aqua mog family of machines.
With ten years of testing and rigorous evaluation Tom and Dave thought that the machine with out a name had finally proven itself as a true aquamog. The Aquamog CCX-238 had meet all the critical challenges to become an Aquamog. The Aquamog CCX-238 has now passed all the tests and is ready to stand side by side with the rest of the Aquamogs.
The Aquamog CCX is special because of its ability to access areas that cannot be reached by the MarshMog or the Aquaomg PRX-163 and Aquamog SRX-109. As Well it has been found that the Aquamog CCX system of removing aquatic emergent vegetation such as cattails and bulrush can be performed in a fraction of the time and more efficiently than with the other aquamogs. This equates to a savings for clients and users of the vessels.
As with the other Aquamogs the McNabb’s have a unique way of naming the aquamogs after their best attributes. The Aquamog CCX-238 is no different. The Aquamog CCX-238 is called the 238 horse-power Detroit engine that it has rumbing under the back hood. The CCX stands for “Cookie Cutter eXtraordinaire”. The “Cookie Cutter” part of the name was picked due to its ability to create channels through any type of aquatic emergent weed with easy, like a cookie cutter through dough.
The following is a list of some of the other aquamog names and how they where derived.
Aquaomg PRX-163 - 163 H.P. and PRX represents for “Power Rig eXtraordinaire”
Aquamog SRX-109 - 109 H.P. and SRX stands for “Small Rig eXtraordinaire”
HarborMog HRX-109 109 Horse Power and HRX represents for “Harbor Rig eXtraordinaire”
Aquamog WRX-225 225 HP and WRX represents for “Walking Rig eXtraordinaire”
It is fitting to give the Aquamog CCX-238 is proper name. All of the aquamogs that where manufactured by the McNabb’s will be featured over the next few months in a series at www.aquamogs.com. Please check those sites for additional info on the other Aquamogs and projects that they have done all over the world.
I Found A Number Of Good Suggestions For A Budget Vacation Not Long Ago! May 3, 2009
Posted by Pat in : nothing in particular , comments closedAll work and no vacation is not good, even in a recession. I have wondered if you can stay on a tight budget and still get away on a short trip. Based on my time spent on several travel sites, it seems that the major online websites all can find good travel deals if I can be a little flexible.
When you select from among the various online travel companies, you are looking for the best price for car rental, hotel rooms and airline tickets, and also a trip without logistical problems. It also occurred to me that I should find a place where I can find good prices on travel costs, and maybe where I could drive my own car to save even more. I should point out that Southern California might be a great choice.
One website I found with some great information on Southern California is the SoCal Vacation Guru site. It focuses mainly on Orange County and Los Angeles County, but will eventually expand to provide more information on San Diego County and the Inland Empire desert and mountain areas as well. In addition to information and insight related to the beaches, Disneyland, shopping, dining, hotel options and other attractions, there is good coverage on Universal Studios at the SoCal Vacation Guru site.
The SoCal theme parks include Disneyland (with Disney’s California Adventure), Knott’s, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Universal Studios Hollywood, SeaWorld and Legoland. If you love theme parks, it would be tempting to try and fit all seven into a very busy, and perhaps relatively expensive, vacation trip. This is probably a good time to take a vacation and find great deals on hotel reservations if your budget allows for it, as a lot of hotels and attractions are looking for business.
You might also get better deals now for tickets to theme parks, museums and other activities. The price of gasoline has increased and fluctuated a lot, but for many people in the U.S. a driving trip to Southern California could save money compared with flying to other vacation destinations.
