One of the easy ways to get more traffic to your web site is by submission to online directories.

Directory submission is something anyone can do at no cost and only take a little time, so the return for your time is very high. For anyone who has never done any directory submission you might be suprised just how many there are out there.

Why not try your hand at directory submission today? If you make it a regular routine you might be surprised just how much extra traffic you could get later on - well worth having! Don’t overlook the benefit of some of the directories that also show articles - articles marketing is a powerful additional tool for webmasters.

If a web directory offers you normal listings as well as article promotions you can use the article side of it to promote your inner pages, also known as deep linking.  If you submit links and articles to just a few of the many thousands of directories out there you’ll build up a ton of incoming backlinks to your sites. That’s a real powerful benefit to your SEO efforts.

Article marketing is a technique all of its own and would need its own post to explain fully, but don’t overlook it when you’re submitting to directories - it makes a powerful combo that produces benefits for a long time to come.

Kitchen Chair Cushions March 5, 2009

Choosing dining chair cushions that don’t overwhelm your kitchen isn’t easy; no matter how hard wooden chairs beg to be softened with them. You are able to pick up a set of chair cushions for $5 at the local dollar store, but would they fit into your room’s decor- or detract from your style? The construction, durability, and comfortability of less expensive cushions are inferior.

Taking the time to select well-made, quality decorative chair cushions for your kitchen or dining room set will result in a more comfortable set that lasts longer and requires less care. You must take these things into account when choosing chair cushions for wooden chairs. Select the appropriate dimensions for the seat because it won’t be comfortable if the cushion isn’t big enough. If the size is too large it won’t look nice, plus the chair edges where the cushions overlap cause extra wear and shorten their lifespan.

Make sure that any ties are sewn into the seam of the cushion. Chair ties must be strong enough to withstand pulling and tugging when people sit and stand. They are more likely to remain attached if the ties are sewn into the seam.

Buy window seat cushions treated with stain guard to make it easy to keep them clean. If you find the perfect cushions and they’re not stain resistant, invest in a can of stain resist or stain guard to make it easier to keep them looking fresh and new. Your kids eat here in the kitchen, I am assuming. Choose washable chair cushions - or one with removable, washable covers. Even with stain guard, some spills are going to soak in. The convenience of being able to throw your chair cushions in the laundry will simplify your life. Choose cushions in a sturdy fabric that can withstand lots of wear and tear.

The most durable fabrics include corduroy, denim, chintz, canvas and duck for cushions that will last a long time. Check rolled edges, piping and ruffles closely to be sure they are all straight and firmly sewn into the seam between the top and the bottom of the cushion. Make sure the ruffle or piping doesn’t come free easily, by giving a little tug. Also, examine the seam carefully for any breaks and gaps. Nice to look at may be a tufted chair cushion, but in the long run such a surface and be less commodious for the user. Make sure, when choosing tufted cushions, make sure the buttons are sewn through all the layers of the chair cushion to avoid losing buttons to wriggling bottoms.
