Do Yeast Infections Occur in Men? March 3, 2009
Posted by Pat in : nothing in particular , add a commentWhen we think of yeast infection we always seem to think of women, not yeast infections men. But many men do suffer from yeast infection, sometimes multiple infections throughout their lives. Yeast infections occur in men for the same reasons they do in women. In many cases it can occur from having unprotected intercourse with a woman who also has the condition.
Do Women Get Yeast Infections from Men?
A 2003 study finds that the presence of yeast in men does not make women more prone to recurrent yeast infections. But certain sex acts might. If either one of the partners in a sexual relationship have this fungus growing on their body, then there is a good chance that the fungus will be passed from partner to partner. This problem may continue and continue unless both partners and all infected partners involved have the yeast infection problem destroyed.
What Are The Symptoms of Yeast Infections Men?
Because there is a low level of awareness among men, and because the infection can be present without any clear symptoms, many men are totally unaware that they have it, and could be passing it to their sexual partners. So yeast infection in men is a very serious issue, not to be taken lightly. So how do you know if you have a yeast infection? If you have any of the following symptoms, then it is very likely you have the condition: irritation, itching, small discharges, foreskin sores, discomfort during sex, and a white cheese-like matter. It can also cause itching and dryness on your skin.
How Do You Treat Yeast Infections Men?
Knowledge and understanding of the causes, symptoms and cures of this ailment will surely be useful in treating it, and better yet, in preventing it altogether. Men must come to terms with the reality that yeast infection is as much a man’s problem as it is a woman’s problem.
There are various over-the-counter medications which may help, such as clotrimazale (gyno-lotrimin), oral diflucan and montistat. More natural remedies have proven to be very popular, such as yogurt, garlic, aloe vera, oregano oil, and tea tree oil. Although with men the cream based medications tend to wipe off in their underwear. The creams can still work, it is just a little trickier to keep it on the skin.
Vitamins For Hair Growth March 3, 2009
Posted by Pat in : nothing in particular , add a commentJust like any other part of the body, hair needs essential nutrients to grow. Vitamins, of course are one of the sources of nutrients for your hair and can be a natural hair loss treatment. The problem which can occur is that you do not get enough vitamins to the scalp for a couple of reasons, which can be behind what causes baldness. The first challenge is that for a lot of people they just are not getting enough vitamins into their diet due to the food they eat. If this is the case, then to start off with you want to look at your fruit and veg intake and question if you are doing your 5 a day, if you struggle with the 5 a day then try and get good quality supplements instead.
What you may also find happens to the hair in getting a good amount of vitamins to it is that if your body needs these nutrients elsewhere, this being the case then they will go where they are needed and whats left will go to your scalp. So to summarize when your body needs to repair somewhere, then it will pull the nutrients to that particular point and whats left will then go elsewhere.
On the food side of things, eating a balanced and varied diet is obviously good for your health anyway, but even so because of the way food is produced and transported these days, even taking your five a day may not be enough to get you all your vitamins that you need, which of course can effect your hair. Also there are two things that are regularly put in our food which are deemed to be detrimental to our hair and they are sugar and salt, the good news is there are some vitamins we can use to combat salt and sugar, and we’ll take a look at them now.
The first vitamin to get into your diet is A which is Retinol. Dosage should be between 10,000 to 25000 IU’s, you need to be at the higher end of the dosage if you are of a larger frame and vice versa if you are quite small
After vitamin A you need to then look at the vitamin B group. Easily available as a supplement Vitamin B is highly regarded in the battle against hair loss. One thing to bear in mind if you supplement with vitamin B is that your body will only use what it needs and excrete what it does not so you may find your urine going an interesting shade of yellow.
Next on the list is vitamin C. You are probably looking to take 3 to 4000mg of this vitamin for best results. Be careful not to overdo it on vitamin C though as taking too much can lead to an upset stomach.
You need to be taking around 4-800mg of vitamin E, but make sure you do not exceed 800mg, and again judge your dosage by your frame, the smaller you are the less you should take. If you have trouble digesting fats you may want to take a water soluble version of vitamin E.
Finally there is vitamin H (which is really a vitamin B). This vitamin is rumored to be essential for slowing hair loss. If you are lacking in this vitamin, then on the whole it will show up with you having thinning hair. It works best when taken with the other B vitamins and you need to be having around 300mg.
There you go then, some of the main vitamins that help to how to prevent hair loss, however before you start taking supplements you should consult with your physician, just to make sure you are not going to have any adverse side effects and they may also be able to advise you on the right dosage to take.
Bathroom, Garage and Kitchen Windows: Practical Guide For Renovating Your Homes Foremost Rooms and Areas March 3, 2009
Posted by Pat in : nothing in particular , add a commentRemodeling your home is a realistic alternativeto simply packing up and purchasing an ideal home. However, the cost of remodeling is not necessarily cheaper; simple planning mistakes or poor contractor selection can lead to disastrous emotional and financial results. Thorough research and organization are your two biggest weapons to avoid the common pitfalls of a typical home remodel. Be sure to use them!
Your bathroom, your garage, and your kitchen are good places to start your home remodeling endeavor. However, before you begin construction, you must ask yourself quite a few questions. The most important of these questions requires an honest answer: how much can you really afford to spend? When performing a remodel, you need to be financially realistic. Unless you’re very careful during the bidding stage, your total cost will most likely run 20% to 30% higher than expected. While you have limitless possibilities for your remodeling project, this article will only focus on three different rooms: the kitchen, the garage, and the bathroom.
While there are limitless possibilities for remodeling your home, this article is going to focus on the remodeling of the most important rooms: your bathroom, kitchen and your garage. For most everyone, the bathroom is a private sanctuary. Where else can you lock out the world and stand under a hot shower or relax in a soothing bubble bath? When you are planning your bathroom remodel, you must consider where you spend the majority of your time: gazing into the mirror or enjoying the bathtub. The answer to that question shows where you should focus your ideas. Did you know there are such things as towel warming racks and heated flooring? And every contractor will recommend that you invest a little extra money and buy top of the line fixtures. By investing more cash on the extra bells and whistles can easily transform your bathroom into a mini at-home spa.
It has been said that well over 50% of home owners do not park their vehicle in their garage. Instead of a place to park a vehicle, their garage is nothing but a big storage unit. Are you one of those individuals? If so, you might want to remodel your garage. A remodeled garage can increase your storage space, increase the usable square footage of your house, or even allow you to actually park your car inside of it.
Outside of gaining extra storage space, a garage can be transformed into a home gym, an elaborate work room, a laundry room, or possibly an extra living space (like a kid’s play room or a spare bedroom). If you are considering transforming your garage into extra living space, you must factor in the additional costs for heating, cooling, and electrical. And if you would like to add a bathroom or some other form of water supply, you will also need to add in plumbing costs which can be expensive.
Remodeling your kitchen is typically the most costly (and complicated) home remodel project you can start. It is an enormous undertaking; don’t take it lightly. It is always advisable to hire a qualified contractor than to tackle your own kitchen remodel. If you request bids from several contractors – which would be a good idea, your scope of work must be extremely specific regarding the many materials that are to be used for the project (detailed proposals can be more accurately compared). Also, if you aren’t specific about construction materials, there is a strong chance you will get materials either inferior or too expensive than what you wanted in the first place.
Designing your kitchen is the first and most important phase of your kitchen’s remodel. Every aspect of your design should meet with your approval before you begin construction. You also need to consider the down time you will experience; how long can you live without a kitchen? The more expansive your remodel, the longer you will need to live without a kitchen.
Find great designs and looks for your new kitchen with the perfect kitchen window treatments. With so many choices of window treatments sets you will wonder why you didn’t remodel earlier. Plan on matching your decor with the kitchen window treatment for the perfect look.
Outside of hiring an experienced, licensed contractor for your project, it is probably a good idea to hire an independent consultant that can oversee your contractor’s quality of work and overall job progress. Most people couldn’t tell the difference between galvanized steel piping and ductile iron piping, but an independent consultant that specializes in home remodels can. He or she can spot any shortcuts that your contractor or subcontractors may attempt to take.
Your family’s overall happiness and livelihood are closely associated with your house. Be thorough in your remodel preparation and planning and your home remodeling experience will most likely be a pleasant one.
Top Home Internet Business Mentor March 3, 2009
Posted by Pat in : nothing in particular , add a commentIn my own experience with internet marketing, using personal mentors has been invaluable. To illustrate the importance of a mentor consider this:
Would you jump into the deep end of a pool without first having an experienced swimming instructor teach you the basics of water safety? Would you head for the expert slopes of Killington or Jackson Hole without first taking skiing lessons? Of course not! Getting the advice of those with first hand experience with the situations you will be facing is of paramount importance in life. It will save you time, money, and aggravation. The same things are true in business. Mentorship is fundamentally important in trying to create a top home internet business.
Why Use A Mentor?
Why would a newbie enter the world of internet business, or any business for that matter, without seeking out the help and guidance of an experienced business mentor? A mentor has already tread where the newbie is seeking to tread, and failed where the newbie might be able to learn from the experience of another, and thus be spared the failure? I find that many people fail to realize that a business mentor is easier to find than one might have imagined, because they are equally motivated to find you.
Mentoring is a Win-Win
In the creation and everyday routines of a top home internet business, your relationship with a mentor is a win-win situation. You are looking for the business person who is ahead of you, or above you, in your business. You want to find someone who is willing to take you under their wings and teach you everything they know about the business and help you to create streams of income. In return you can exchange links with them, and share comissions from your sales if it is network marketing. Link exchanging should be done as much as possible with other associates as well. You can refer other peoples links in any designated area of your website or in your blog, and ask that it be reciprocated on their websites. The more backlinks you have pointing to your website the more valuable your page-rank will be with Google, Yahoo, and MSN.
Granted, for the newbie it might appear to be a lot of extra work to seek out that individual business person to be your mentor, but all things considered, this time and effort is an upfront investment in the health and wellness of your business! Because of the win-win relationship the business mentor shares with you in internet marketing, you may find them anticipating your needs and questions before they even occur. After all, the more successful you are, the more potential traffic and profits you can share with them.
Offer Youself As A Mentor
Be careful in your search for a mentor. Remember, in the relationship you wish to grow, there is a difference between a casual business advisor and the bona fide business mentor who will make it part of their business to see another business person succeed from the ground up. Having mentors is essential to your success in growing an internet business. Remember also once you have achieved a top home internet business don’t forget how you got there! Now you can offer to be a mentor and realize the benefits on the other side of this win-win relationship.
